- SPECIAL STS/NOTES: BACK CROSS STITCH (BCS): Skip next st, DC in next st, working behind last st made, DC in skipped dc.
- 2DCTOG: YO, draw up a loop in next st, yo and pull thru 2 loops, YO and draw up a loop in next st, (YO, pull thru 2 loops)2Xs. YO pull thru all 3 loops.
- 3DCTOG: (YO, draw up a loop in NEXT st, YO pull thru 2 loops)3Xs. YO and pull thru all 4 loops. Uses 3sts.
Round 1: Ch 4, work 14dc in 4th ch from hook, join in top ch4. (15dc)
Round 2: Ch2, 2DCTOG*see special sts*, Ch6, [3DCTOG *see special sts, Ch6.]4Xs. Join IN top of 1st Star point. (5 Star points, 5 ch6sps)
Round 3: Slst into ch6 sp & do Ch1, 2sc, fptc in dc of rnd 1, (Between 2 star points), 2sc in same chsp. [Ch2. In next ch6 space, work 2sc, fptc in next dc of rnd 1, 2sc]4Xs. Ch2 & join in 1st sc (20sc,5tc,5ch2sps)
Round 4: Ch3, dc in each stitch around, working 2 dc in first 4 ch2 sps. IN last ch2 sp, work 3 dc. Join w/slst in beg ch3, throughout pattern. (36 DC)
Round 5: Slst into next 3 dc, (Ch3, Dc, ch2, 2dc in same stitch.) BEG Corner made. [Dc in 8dc, In next st do (2dc, ch2, 2dc) Corner made.] 3Xs. Dc in last 8sts & join. Slst into next st & ch2sp. (48 DC)
Round 6: Beg Corner, [+Dc in 3dc, (Ch1, BCS)3Xs. Ch1, dc in 3dc+, corner in ch2sp.]3Xs. Repeat +to+ once & join. Slst into next st & ch2sp. (40 dc, 12 BCS, 16 ch1 spaces)

Ch 2, DC 2 stitches together, Ch6, *DC 3 stitches together, Ch6.* Repeat around and join IN top of 1st Star point. (5 Star points)
I don't understand this part. Is it in the next DC or do you skip a few DC after you chain 6. Can you please explain this part.

I've really been enjoying your 12-inch square patterns -- am incorporating some of them into a sampler afghan. But I got into a bit of a rough patch with this one. I can't get Round 11 to work out. Are there some words missing on that round?

not sure I'm doing this right don't understand computers well. anyway I've printed most of the blue dragon fly patterns, can't find a way to send an email i copied hugging the stars square and saw that some had trouble with row 11 so thought I'd ask about the problem and solution before i tried to make it.
I've tried to not be a "robot" a hundred times sure is hard to get the letters right
