OPEN CROSS 6" SQUARE

Ch4 and join to form a ring

Round 1: Ch3, work 15dc in ring, join (16)

Round 2: Ch3, DC in same stitch, *Ch3, skip one dc, sc in next dc, Ch3, skip one dc. 2DC in next dc.* Repeat around and join.

Round 3: Ch3, DC in same stitch, Ch1, 2DC in next dc, *Ch3 and SC in next sc, Ch3. 2DC in next dc, ch1, 2dc in next.* Repeat around and join in top of beginning ch3.

Round 4: Slip stitch into next dc and into ch1 space and work Ch3, DC, ch2, 2DC. *DC in 2dc, Ch3, SC in next sc, Ch3, DC in 2dc, and work a 2DC corner in next ch1 space.* Repeat around and join.

Round 5: Slip stitch into ch2 space and Ch3, DC, ch2, 2DC. *DC in 4dc, Ch3, SC in next sc, Ch3, DC in 4 and work a 2dc corner in next ch2 space.* Repeat around and join.

Round 6: Slip stitch into ch2 space and work a ch1, 3sc. *SC in 6dc, SC in each chain of next ch3, SC in next sc, SC in each chain of next ch3. (*NOTE* after the sc in the sc, you might have to pull it to your right to work a sc in the first ch1 of the next ch3.) SC in 6, and work 3SC in corner ch2 space.* Repeat around and join.

As with any square your tension may effect the overall size of your square, please adjust last row based on your tension. You can easily add rows to make your square bigger if you wish.

This is really pretty. I'm using it in a baby blanket.
