NOTES: Bolded print: Repeat in pattern. “STS”=Stitches: Any st or chsps.  FPDC (Front Post Double crochet) st: This is worked around the post of dc/st indicated.

Bottom:
Rnd 1: Ch16, 4dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 11chs, 5dc in last ch, working on the opposite side of ch, dc in next 11chs, join in top of ch4.  (32dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, fpdc in joining st.  (Dc in next dc, fpdc in same st)4x. +(Dc in next st, fpdc in next st)5x.  Dc in next st+. (Dc in next st, fpdc in same st)5x.  Repeat +to+ once & join to ch3.  (42dc)

Rnd 3: Ch3, fpdc in  joining st.  [Dc in next st, (dc, fpdc in next st)]4x, dc in next st.  +(Fpdc in next st, dc in next st)5x, fpdc in next st.+  (Dc, fpdc in same st),  [Dc in next dc, (dc, fpdc in next st)]4x, dc in next st.  Repeat +to+ once, join to ch3 (52dc)

Rnd 4: Ch1, sc in joining st, Sc in each dc around, placing a marker/bobby pin in the 48th st. Join to first sc.  (52sc)  Fasten off and weave in your ends.  

Top Circles (make 2)
Rnd 1: Ch4, work 9dc in 4th ch from hook, join to beg ch4.  (10dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, fpdc in joining st.  (Dc,fpdc in ea st) around.  Join to ch3.  (20dc)

Rnd 3: Ch3, fpdc in joining st.  [Dc in next st, (dc, fpdc in next st)] Repeat around ending with a dc in last st, join to ch3.  (30dc)

Rnd 4: Ch1, sc in joining st.  Sc in each st around, join to first sc.  Fasten off and weave in ends.  (30sc)

Assembly:  This is basically your own interpretation of how you want your pieces together.  Keep in mind that your st counts might be off from mine, don’t worry about that.  Just remember that you do not want to work too much into the circle piece, as you want to make sure you have plenty of room when using it.    You will be working through both pieces, how I put mine together was this:  With right side facing you, and using your marked st, place one circle on the left side of your base, insert hook into a st that matches up with your marked st on base, and thru marked st, Ch1, sc in same st, and into next 20sts, then sc in 5sc of the base, put your next circle onto base and working through both pieces, sc in next 21sc, sc in last 5 sc of your base, join to the first sc.  Fasten off, weave in ends.
