Size: 6” Square using,  Hook: H/5.0mm, Yarn Used: Worsted Weight Worsted Weight in 2 colors: A & B
NOTES:  Bold print: Repeated in pattern.  STS=Stitches: Work into next st/chsp  JOIN: Join W/slst in beg st, (ch3, ch2, sc) unless otherwise stated.

Dc=Double Crochet        
Round 1: W/A, ch4, 11dc in 4th ch from hook, join in top of ch4.  (12dc)

Round 2: Ch3, 2dc in same dc.  [Ch1, sk 1dc, 3dc in next dc]5x.  Ch1, join.  (18dc)

Round 3: Ch3, 2dc in same dc.  1dc in next dc, 3dc in next dc.  [*Ch2, sk ch1sp*, 3dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in next dc]5x.  Repeat *to*, join.  (42dc & 6 ch2 spaces)

Round 4: Sk 1dc, [5dc in next dc, slst in next dc, 5dc in next dc, sk 1dc, slst in next dc, sc in ch2sp, slst in next dc, sk 1dc]6x, ending w/sc in last ch2sp, stop here.  (60dc, 6sc)

Round 5: Ch1, sc in same sc. [Ch4, sc in slst between humps, ch4, sc in sc between next 2 hearts]6x, switch to B w/slst to first sc.  (12ch4, 12sc)

Round 6: Ch1, 3sc in same sc, corner made.  [(3sc in ch4sp, sc in next sc)2x,  3sc in ch4, 3sc in next sc]4x, omitting last corner, join.  (56sc)

Round 7: Slst in next sc, ch3, dc, ch1, 2dc in same sc.  [Dc in next 2sts, hdc in next 9sts, dc in next 2sts,  in next sc, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) corner made]4x, omitting last corner, join.  (32dc, 36hdc)  Finish off & weave in ends.

I did this square and it is the first one I have ever done. It came out just like yours and it is gorgeous. I am going to make several and see if I can put them together to make a blanket or even table cloth. Thank you this is awesome.

I really like this pattern. If I wanted to do the flower one color and the rest in another color, at which round would I switch colors?

IF you wanted you could switch colors in round 6 or 7.

I want to use three colours, a small little centre, then flower, then square, where would I stop for the little centre, to add the rest of the flower. Thanks for this pattern
