6” Square with an H Hook & Worsted Weight Yarn.

SPECIAL STS/NOTES: Bolded print: Repeat in pattern. “STS”=Stitches: Any st or chsps.

Rnd 1: Ch4, join forming ring.  Ch5, (counts as dc, ch2).  [Dc in ring, ch2]9x.  Join in 3rd ch of beg ch5.  (10dc, 10ch2)

Rnd 2: Slst in first ch2sp,  Ch4 (counts as dc, ch1).  Dc in same sp. [Fptc in next dc, (dc, ch1, dc) in next ch2sp V-ST MADE]9x.  Fptc in last dc, join in 3rd ch of beg ch4.  (10fptc, 10v-sts)

Rnd 3: Slst in ch1sp & Ch1, sc in same sp. [Fpdc in fptc of prev rnd, Ch4, sc in next ch1sp]9x.  Fpdc in last fptc.  Ch4 & join in first sc.  (10sc, 10fpdc, 10ch4sp)

Rnd 4: (Work BEHIND ch4 lps of rnd 3).  Slst in next dc of V-st in rnd 2 & (ch3, dc, ch1, 2dc) BEG corner made.  [*2dc in next 4 dc of v-st in rnd 2*.  In next dc of v-st work 2dc, ch1, 2dc, CORNER made.]3x.  Repeat *to* once, then join in top of beg ch3, changing to color 2.  (48dc)   

Rnd 5: Slst in ch1sp & Beg corner.  *Dc in 2sts, (Tc in fpdc from rnd 3. Dc in 4sts)2x. Tc in fpdc from rnd 3.  Dc in 2sts.  Corner in ch1sp.  Dc in 2sts.  (Tc in sc from rnd 3, dc in 4sts)2x. Tc in sc from rnd 3. Dc in 2sts*.   Corner in ch1sp. Repeat *to* once, & join in top of beg ch3. (12 Triple crochet, 64 dc)

Rnd 6: Slst in dc & ch1sp. (Ch1, dc, ch1, sc) in same sp. [*Sc in 4sts, (Fpdc in fptc, sc in 4sts)3x*.   Dc, Ch1, sc in ch1sp]3x.  Repeat *to* once then join in first ch1.  (8ch1, 4dc, 12fpdc, 68sc)

I can't believe you have no comments on your pretty squares so I shall be the first on this one! Lovely little filler squares that look gorgeous in a single shade and absolutely what I've been looking for to 'tone down' an afghan my Husband and I are making together.
