woohoo I know someone famous!!! Luigi....I always knew he was real!!!! LOL ok ok, well the very handsome guy playing Luigi is famous in my eyes........and looking darn cute!!! this is his halloween costume, very cute, he wanted to be Luigi, and I found the costume at Wal Mart, for twenty bucks.......the moustache sticks to his face, so I didn't put that on.......my luck he won't wear it anyway.......but he is ready for halloween.........I want to stay home and pass out candy, never got to do that, and my knees just can't take all that walking.......man do they burn today, and my neighbors daughter who sees me as her "second" mom, was leaning on my knee and man did it hurt!!! The rain doesn't help........but I will take some ibuprofen, and collapse in bed soon..........I don't think all the running around at the park with Aiden the other day helped. LOL oh well I had fun. I felt like a kid again.........

Finished the second Dragonfly pillow today.....I mean yesterday.........or rather Wednesday......ok ok you know me, it's not the next day until I got to bed and wake up........so I am still in Thursday right now. LOL..........man it's cold out too...........40 degrees right now, but I am loving it, now for the snow...........I am soo ready for the snow.........and I have a few "new" neighbors around here, who don't believe that I wear my flip flops in the snow............well I do......and I really need to get back to Hawaii to find more of them............I wanted to buy a whole case, but they didn't have any.....so I settled for the two pairs they had left.........AJ broke my other pair wearing them with wet feet.......oh man I hate when someone else wears my flip flops..........they are only use to MY feet!!! LOL.............well I am tired.........but will finish watching some tv, and listen to some music, and then go into Dream land..........

Well I finally got one pillow done for the living room, I am needing a total of 4, two on each couch......this was my 4 dragonfly square, and Aiden wanted to pose with the pillow...he had been watching the movie Space Chimps and took time out from that to lay on the pillow which he gave his approval!! LOL.......I could not get it to come out very well with the digital flash, and didn't want to mess with the camera.......so retook it with my phone below.

I like how it came out..........and its comfortable.............now I just need to get started on the second one which I will tomorrow.......one of the groups I am in, is doing an October charity for a hospital, donating baby stuff and hats/mittens........well I have never been any good with hats, but I think I did a decent job on the ones below

I didn't measure them, but will tomorrow.........I got the pattern from April......as soon as she post the pattern, I will link to her blog........there are 4 size hats as you can see..........the smallest being a small preemie.......the mittens are suppose to have a ribbon, but I didn't add one yet........I folded down the scalloped edge on one, so you can see it folded and unfolded..........I did these in a soft peach yarn............I don't have any baby yarn...........but I did find some soft WW yarn in other colors...........this was a new skein.......and these 4 hats and one pair of mittens took the whole skein........it was one of the smaller skeins though. I will be working on these and another pattern I found for baby hat............with me not doing any swaps right now, I will have some time for this.............the last charity I did was making squares for VJGC I really enjoyed doing them, and knowing that they were being made into blankets for kids who needed them, and would really like them.

I am tired, so going to go lay down..........ohhh Aiden slept all through the night last night with no problems, I was worried he would wake up sick.........today he was fine........woohoo........

Is it Saturday?

Ok well seeing as how it's 1 am in the morning, it's already Sunday......but I don't really see it as Sunday until have gone to sleep and woke up. LOL......I made the above snowflakes for a swap at the Ville.........I can't find the other pictures of the other stuff I sent her, so apparently they are still on my phone.....I hope anyway......she had a pink amigurumi pig on her wish list that I sent her and it was too cute......I had a hard time parting with it, then my neighbor got upset that I had mailed it off too. LOL.........

Took this picture of Aiden and myself last night, he was being so goofy, and kept saying take a picture high........I could only guess that he meant hold the camera high. LOL.........Today was a busy day, and I soo wanted to just relax, and do a couple loads of laundry........but that turned out to be 3 loads, and I still have to put 3 baskets of clothes away..........I would not have had so much, if I had not gone shopping, but AJ has outgrown all his clothes..so the only thing he could fit into and not look dorky were his school uniforms.........and I even needed a few more pairs of pants........so off we went to lunch and then shopping..........I managed to find 4 more pairs of uniform pants...........I had thought I only found 3 but I found one more I had dropped in the van..........anyway...........found him some jeans and some really nice long sleeve shirts..........really nice!!! he will look very handsome in them........he picked out a shirt that I didn't really care much for, but hey, I don't have to wear it, it actually looks nice on him.............it is a button down blue cordaroy type of shirt....I am sure I spelled that word wrong, but I think most of you will get it...........anyway he liked it as well as these weird funky pants he wants to wear to the gym...which he and I really need to go.............he needs to lose weight........I don't bother him too much about it, but I dont' want to see him gain more, and his dr says he is a bit overweight.........and mainly it's that he and his friends sit in front of the tv...........I am having to shop in the mens department for him!!! I know that boys clothes are weird in sizing.........even his friends wear mens sizes now too...........so I guess I can't complain too much.......but man........prices are higher in that department!! LOL

Anyway I have my crochet swaps caught up, and I am going to steer clear of them for awhile, Aiden is having a birthday this month, and I also want to do some things for the house, I need to get busy on the second afghan for the living room, and the pillows for the couch too.........I have one done, just ran out of yarn, and am too lazy and tired to go in the back of the house, pull out the yarn totes and look for another skein........watch...........tomorrow I will go look and find out I am out!! UGH!! just my luck!!! Two more loads of laundry tomorrow..........ugh, not if I do my fathers clothes too..........I am getting really tired of the dirty clothes.....I think they are piling up on purpose........I think they are out to get me...........and with that, I must get some sleep now...........I am talking crazy!!!

Well I am FINALLY caught up with April's Calender CAL Ghan.........woohoo, now all I have to do is be patient in my wait for October's square. All of these are done in light blue....I am using a G hook, so my squares are about 9-10" big instead of the 12" I also crochet somewhat tight...........Anyway my hands and arms are sooo cramped up right now........and one of these squares I had to frog 4 rows.....I made a mistake on the very first row, and a few more, my neighbors daughter kept coming over and talking and talking and talking....she is 13 and sometimes just doesn't listen........I kept telling her I was busy, and she was like, no you aren't, you are just crocheting........LOL duh!! I am busy!!! Anyway they are done, and I am going to take a couple days off from crocheting........I have a couple of packages to mail out tomorrow and will be caught and have a bit of rest before working on some swap stuff.

Well April has had a Crochet-a long....or Calendar "Ghan CAL I have done a few of the squares, but never liked the colors I used, so I would redo them.....well I FINALLY decided on a color to use, and that is light blue........so tonight I made the first 4 months.........above is January, "Winter's Dream"

Anyway I am tired, and my hands are very cramped.......these 4 were done in about 2 hours and that was with me getting distracted by watching Moonlight. LOL..........but I am off to bed, and will do the rest hopefully tomorrow. I will post them if I get them all done. I have had a headache all day, since waking up........it eased up a bit after taking tylenol........but within a couple of hours was back again, and I took more pain pills, but that didn't help...........I still have it, it's not as bad as earlier, but its still there. :(

AJ had conferences Thursday and he is doing great in school, As, Bs, and one C in math, he will have a tutor this year too. Aiden is good too, we watched movies today while I also did a couple loads of laundry.

Isn't he cute? Now who wouldn't want him as a decoration? You can never have too much halloween stuff. I know I am addicted to decorations for the next 3 holidays!! I am currently testing another pattern for it and will post that picture as soon as I get him done and get the info sent to her.

Sad note: Patrick Swayze died today........I think I have watched just about every movie he was in...my mom was a huge fan of his as well........my heart goes out to his family and to the many fans who will miss him dearly. I think I will watch "Ghost" tonight, one of my favorite movies.

Things here are slowing down again......my mom fell again last week, and luckily my father was able to help her up, but not after she was on the floor for awhile, she fell asleep there..........Anyway, I am tired and worn out......but today has been slow..........been working on some crochet. Tested Squares

Well I got to test these 3 squares for Donna. Click her name to go directly to her blog. I absolutely love the squares, I think my favorite would have to be the heart one...I did this one in a pale yellow and its just gorgeous!!! I love hearts.

These are Christmas ones, as you can see, Candy cane and Christmas tree, I might try to take the Candy Cane picture again outside tomorrow in natural light and see if that helps with the glare of the red.......anyway very cute squares, and I have a project in mind for these squares. I think anyone who has not checked out Donna's blog, should really do so, this lady is an inspiration, she designs such lovely squares and donates so much to charity.

UGH

Well I had started this pattern last night, I am making it for my sister-in-law, but there are mistakes in the pattern, and now i have to wait for the designer to email me back. I find this very frustrating....as this is the second "bought" pattern this week that has had more than one mistake in it. I know its hard designing stuff, and there are bound to be mistakes......even with having a pattern tested before selling it........but the last pattern I worked on, I spent about 5 dollars for.........and there were mistakes in EVERY part of the pattern............I had to "wing" it......which is also very frustrating....some designers don't ever get back with you........and some take a very long time to get back to you.......so I am not too happy right now........finding several mistakes in a pattern you bought is really uncalled for. So I have put it aside, and will work on Mario's Luigi for Aiden, who was super excited to see this pattern.

Ok maybe it's too soon, but it sure felt like a beautiful Fall day. I could not believe when I stepped out on the porch this morning how incredibly cool and pretty it was out....I thought for sure when the day went on that it would warm up, but it never did and talk about a happy camper here. Fall is my favorite time of year, and today was perfect. I relaxed all day, got a bit of crochet done, and a bit of cleaning done.....although I think I overdid it tonight, I got a "new" dresser for the boys, and was rearranging the room to put it in there.........it looks nice in there, and now we have more room for the clothes. I just got done and got the floors swept and vacuumed, and will take my shower and work on some crochet the rest of the night.

Really easy and cute, so if you are a beginner crocheter, or just starting out with Amigurumi, this is an easy one, and how cute is she? I cant' wait to get started on her. Might even get to her tonight.

I have a few projects I have done, but am debating on if I will post the pictures, they are for swaps, and although it's not a secret swap, some of the stuff is for a B-day swap.....and that should be a surprise, so I will wait to post them.

Ladybug/Bee? LOL

I made this ladybug for my mom........she wanted it done in thread, so I used a size 10 thread........I personally think this looks like a cross between a bee and a ladybug.........it has stripes, now I am no ladybug expert, but I have yet to see one with stripes........the color was more a peachy, but I could not find the Peachy thread I had.......which I am quite sure I will find now that I don't need it. LOL.......anyway I used a pale yellow...........she is cute, and my mom loves her, so that is all that matters I guess.

My day went pretty good, not a whole lot of sleep, but I am sure I will get tired here soon, and hopefully get a better nights sleep. I have my friends daughter over here......she is sleeping though, and they wanted me to come with them, they were going to a club to see some friend of theirs that play in a local band......but I was not really up to that tonight. I had wanted to take the boys to an air show tonight, but my father was fixing my van.

I have been playing catch up with my crochet.........I was working on stuff for April's b-day, and got that finished, and will finish up a few things for her daughter who I am in a Halloween swap with.

I recently made this blog private, but might go back to being public, for some reason I am having a lot of issues signing in.....it keeps messing up, but will stick with it for awhile, maybe its just a temp. glitch. I did find my Tinkerbell background, I was looking for this when I was changing it before. I liked the dragonflies, but it was not my favorite dragonfly background.

Family visit

Well here is my dad, brother and Aiden,

Austin and Karen on the morning they left. They got home and all crashed into bed, long drive home. My brother is going back to school and Dylan started Monday.

Wednesday morning, my mother fell again in the bathroom........she was on the floor all night, I did not hear her fall or call for me........I was just too tired. I had to call 911 and they took her to the ER, and admitted her.......ran a bunch of tests, and she got to come home this morning, but I have to look at the papers to see what they found out. She is happy to be home and actually so am i, it felt creepy her not being here.

Well it's storming out tonight, at first it sounded like someone hitting the house, and when I went to look outside, it was lightening and thundering. I hope the storm cools our weather down.

I didn't get much crochet done.......a friend of mine who has been staying in a shelter has been here for two days in a row, and she was really upset today, they were trying for an apartment and didn't get it.........and the shelter wants them out tomorrow, she is going to see if they will give her more time while she waits for a motel/studio room on Monday.

I did work a bit on a birthday gift for April, who is in a group with me...........but didn't get much done......too many kids at the house. I am going to tell them tomorrow that I want some quiet time, and they can hang out at their own house.......Sandra their mom keeps telling me that we will just send the kids to one house and us adults to the other house, and have some peace and quiet!! Man that will be nice. LOL

I need to get to bed..........storm is getting bad.
