Size: 12” Square, Hook: H/5.0mm, Yarn: Worsted Weight in 3 colors: A,B,C  _________________________________________________________ Abbreviations & Stitches Used:                    Beg=Beginning Ch=Chain   Slst=Slip stitch Sc=Single crochet Sp(s)=Space(s) Sk=Skip   W/=With Dc=Double crochet St(s)=Stitches   Lps=Loops    Fp=Front post          Bl=Back loop      ___________________________________________________________ Notes:  Bold print: Repeated in pattern.  Join: W/slst in beg st.

Rnd 1: W/A, Ch4, Work 11dc in 4th ch from hook, join in 3rd ch of beg ch4.  (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, fpdc in same st.  [(Dc in next st, fpdc in same st)] Repeat around, join.  (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch3, fpdc in same st.  [Dc in next st, (dc, fpdc in next st)] Repeat around ending w/dc, join.  (36dc)

Rnd 4: Ch3, dc in next st.  [2dc in next dc, dc in 2sts] Repeat around ending w/2dc in last st,  switch to B w/slst to join.  (48dc)

Rnd 5: Ch1, sc in same st, sc in 5sts.  [Ch2, dc in 6sts, ch2, sc in 6sts] Repeat around ending w/ch2, join.  (24sc, 24dc, 8ch2)

Rnd 6: Ch3, dc in 5sts. [Ch2, sk ch2sp, sc in 6sts, ch2, sk ch2sp, dc in 6sts] Repeat around ending w/ch2, join.   (24sc, 24dc, 8ch2)
