Worsted Weight Cotton yarn and an H hook

Measures about 8” from tip to tip

Back: 

Rnd 1: Ch4, Work 15DC in 4th ch from hook.  Join in top of ch4.  (16dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, DC in joining.  Work 2DC in each st.  Join in top of ch3. (32dc)

Rnd 3: Ch3, DC in joining.  (DC in one st, 2DC in next st) Repeat around ending with 1DC in last st.  Join. (48dc)

Rnd 4: Ch1, SC in joining. SC in 3sts. [+Ch2, DC in 4sts, Ch2,+ SC in 4sts.] 5Xs.  Repeat +to+ once & join to first sc.  (24sc, 24dc, 12ch2sps)

Rnd 5: Ch1, SC in joining.  SC in 3sc. [+Ch2, 2DC in next dc, DC in 2dc, 2DC in next dc.  Ch2.+  SC in 4sc] 5Xs.  Repeat +to+ once & join.  (24sc, 36dc, 12ch2sps)

Rnd 6: Ch1, SC in joining.  SC in 3sts,  SC in sp. [+Ch2, 2DC in dc, DC in 4dc, 2DC in dc, Ch2. SC in sp,+ SC in 4sc, SC in sp] 5Xs.  Repeat +to+ once & join.  (36sc, 48dc, 12ch2sps)

Fasten off here for Back piece.  

Make a second one (Front) as above, but DO NOT FASTEN OFF continue to rnd 7

Rnd 7: With wrong sides together,  Ch1, SC in joining.  SC through both pieces in each st/sp around & join.  (96sc)
