G hook and Cotton Yarn

• SPECIAL STS/NOTES: FPDC=front post double crochet, BPDC=back post double crochet, BPSC=back post single crochet ALL OF THESE ARE DONE AROUND (AR) POST OF ST INDICATED. CLUSTER ST (CL)=Keeping last loop of each dc on hook, 3 dc in st or sp indicated; YO and draw through all 4 loops on hook.  IN round 6 when doing 2nd BPDC ar the sc, work in front of the 1st dc you did.  

 

Rnd 1: Ch4, work 11dc in 4th ch from hook.  Join. (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, dc in same st. [2dc in each st around] Join to first st  (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch1, fpdc in same st. [Bpdc in next st, fpdc in next st]Repeat around ending w/bdpc in last st, join.  (24sts) 

Rnd 4: Ch2, beg cluster in joining st.  [Ch1, sk a st, (cl, ch2, cl) in next st, ch1, sk a st, cl in next st.] Repeat around minus last cluster, join.  (18cl, 12ch1, 6ch2) 

Rnd 5: Sl st into ch1sp, ch3, 3dc in same st.  [Ch1, sc in ch2sp, (ch1, 4dc in ch1sp)2x] Repeat around ending w/4dc in last st, ch1, join, if using 2nd color, pull thru new color w/join.  (48dc, 6sc) 

Rnd 6: Ch1, bpsc in same st, ch2, bpdc in 3st.  [2bpc in next sc, bpdc in 8st]Repeat around w/bpdc in last 4sts, join.  (60dc)

Rnd 7: Beg CL Corner  [+Ch1, CL in next st, Ch1, HDC in 3sts, SC in 6sts, HDC in 3sts, Ch1, CL in next st, ch1,+ (CL, ch2, CL) in next st] 3Xs.  Repeat +to+ once and join in top of beg cl. (24hdc, 24sc, 16cl)

Rnd 8: Sl st into ch2 and Beg CL Corner. [+(Ch1, CL in next cl, Ch1, CL in ch1 sp)twice, ch1, HDC in 12sts, (Ch1, CL in ch1 sp, Ch1, CL in next cl)twice. Ch1,+ (CL, Ch2, CL) in next ch2 sp.] 3Xs  Repeat +to+ once & join in  top of next cl.  (48hdc & 40cl)
