Body (Coaster) White
Rnd 1: Ch4, 11dc in 4th ch from hook, join. (12dc)
Rnd 2: (Ch3, dc in same st), [2dc in each st around], join. (24dc)
Rnd 3: (Ch3, dc in same st). [Dc in next st, 2dc in next st] Repeat around ending w/dc in last st, join. (36dc)
Rnd 4: (Ch3, dc in same st). [Dc in 2sts, 2dc in next st] Repeat around ending w/dc in last 2sts, join. (48dc) Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Head: (White)
Rnds 1 & 2: Repeat rnds 1 & 2 of body, fasten off and weave in your ends.
Scarf: W/color of your choice
Row 1: Ch8, with wrong sides of head and body together, you will be working through both pieces. You want the wrong side of the body facing you and the right side of the head facing you. (see picture)
Row 1: Slst into any st of the head and body, sc in next 6sts, slst in next st, ch 18. Turn
Row 2: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 16chs, sc in next slst and next 6sc, sc in next slst, hdc in next 8chs. Fasten off leaving a long chain, do not weave in ends yet, we will use these ends.
Border: (White)
Join in any st w/slst, ch1, sc in same st. Reverse sc in each st around,
Facial Features: Since the body will be used for the coaster, you can use whatever you wish for the facial features. If you prefer to use yarn for a nose, this was how I made mine.
Nose: (Orange)
Ch3, 3 or 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook, slst in last ch. Fasten off and sew on.
