Rnd 1:  Ch4, 11dc in 4th ch from hook, join.  (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch3, dc in same st.  [ (Dc, fpdc) in next st, 2dc in next st] Repeat around, omit last 2dc, join.  (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch3, dc in same st, 2dc in next st.  [Ch2, sk 1 st, fpdc in next st, 2dc in next 2sts] Repeat around, omit last step in repeat, switch to B w/slst to join.  (30dc)

Rnd 4: Ch3, dc in same st.  [Fpdc in 2sts, 2dc in next st, dc in skipped st of rnd 3 (behind ch), dc in next st, 2dc in next st] Repeat around, omit last 2sts, switch to A w/slst to join.  (48dc)

Rnd 5: Ch1, sc in same st, sc in 5sts. [Sk st on rnd 4, (4dc, ch1, 4dc in the ch2sp of rnd 3, (petal made).  Sc in 7sts] Repeat around, omit last 6sts, switch to B w/slst to join.  (42sc, 48dc)

*Note: you will not be working in the dc sts of the petals. 

Rnd 6: Ch1, sc in same st, sc in 5sts.  [Dc in skipped st from rnd 4, sc in ch1sp of petal, dc in same skipped st of rnd 4. Sc in next 7sc] Repeat around, omit last 6sts, join.  (48sc, 12dc)

Rnd 7: Ch3, dc in next st. [2dc in next 2sts, dc in 8sts] Repeat around, omit last 2sts, join.  (72dc)

Rnd 8: Ch3, dc in next st.  [Fpdc in next st, 2dc in next 2sts, fpdc in next st, dc in next 2sts] Repeat around, omit last 3sts, switch to A w/slst to join. (96dc)

Rnd 9: Ch1, sc in same st, sc in next 3sts.  [3sc in next 2sts, sc in 6sts] Repeat around, omit last 4sts, join.  Fasten off.  (144sc)
