Size: 6” Square using, Hook: H/5.0mm, Yarn: Worsted Weight in 2 colors: A: 18g/.63oz & B: 8g/.28oz ______________________________________________________________ Abbreviations & Stitches Used:                    Beg=Beginning Ch=Chain   Slst=Slip Stitch Sc=Single Crochet Sp(s)=Space(s) Sk=Skip   W/=With Dc=Double Crochet St(s)=Stitches   Lps=Loops    Fp=Front post         Bp=Back Post  ___________________________________________________________ Notes:  Bold print: Repeated in pattern. Sts: St/Chsp. Join: W/slst in beg st.

Rnd 1: W/A, Ch4, 7dc in 4th ch from hook, join. (8dc)

Rnd 2: Ch1, fpdc in same st.  [5dc in next st, fpdc in next]repeat around, ending w/5dc in last st, join in top of 1st fpdc.  (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch1, fdpc in same st.  [3dc in next st, dc in 3sts, 3dc in next st, fpdc in next]repeat around, minus last fpdc, join. (40dc)

 

Rnd 4: [Sk1, 9dc in next st, sk2, slst in next, sk2, 9dc in next st, sk1, slst in next st]4x, end w/slst.  (72dc)

Rnd 5: Ch1, bpsc in st below joining in rnd 3. [Bpsc in each dc of rnd 3], join.  (40sc)

Rnd 6: Ch2, 2hdc in same st, [hdc in next st, sc in 7sts, hdc in next st, 3hdc in next st]Repeat around ending w/hdc in next st, switch to B w/slst to join. (20hdc, 28sc)

Rnd 7: Slst in next st, (Ch3, dc, ch1, 2dc), beg corner made, in same st. [Dc in 11sts, (2dc, ch1, 2dc), corner made, in next st]4x, minus last corner. (60dc)

Rnd 8: Slst in next 2sts, beg corner.  [Dc in 15sts, corner in next sp]repeat around minus last corner, join.  (76dc)

Rnd 9: Slst in next 2sts, ch1, 3sc in same st. [Sc in 6sts, catch 5th dc of heart hump, hdc in next st, sc in 5sts, catch 5th dc of heart hump, hdc in next st, sc in 6sts, 3sc in next sp]Repeat ending w/sc in last 6sts, join. (8hdc, 80sc) Fasten off.
