Busy Saturday

This is the Busy Bee done for a Ami Things with wings swap in the group, Amigurumi Swaps & More group, I made this for Tiffany, and had a hard time parting with her... If you are interested in the pattern, check out this BLOG You can also find a link to her Etsy store there as well. She does such cute projects.

I made this Purple Butterfly for the same Ami group for the swap, "Any Cute Ami done in purple. This went to Tiffany.

I also did Belle again for a Birthday swap in the Ami group and this also went to Tiffany, this is a side view of her, and I did her in a C hook this time which seems to be my favorite hook size with Ami's.......I think I did a better job with her this time around. Which makes me think I might redo the Cinderella and the Aurora dolls too.

Wow my day started out busy...........but no major issues, except for the neighbor girl from across the street bugging me since last night........I don't like that parents/grandparents don't teach them manners..........We set up a pool last weekend, and this little girl visiting her grandma yesterday wanted to swim, and we said tomorrow afternoon well yesterday she came over to play with the boys and I said they were not home, and I got the third degree from her......anyway she did that 3 other times and finally I went and told her grandma and that if she wants to play with the boys today and go swimming, that I would send the boys over sometime today when they were ready........well I got online this morning to check something and her son IMed me and I said we were cleaning and we would let them know.......well 10 minutes later here comes the girl..........we told her no that we had cleaning and stuff to do, and we would come for her when we were ready.........well an hour later here she comes again!!!! we told her we would be done in 2 hours, I told her grandma too.........well not more than 30 minutes later, she comes and walks right into our house.....I told her to go home and don't come back until we come to get her.......... I don't really care, I am not the local pool and playground for the neighorbood kids..........they come over and fight my kids for their own toys. Both Austin and Aiden have scooters, and these kids will come over and immediately jump on them, the girl will walk over and grab it from Aiden and say its my turn now........I have told her to stop, that I don't really like other kids playing on them, they might get hurt and I don't want that responsibility or to feel bad that they got hurt. Anyway We got the toys organized, under all the beds cleaned, I got the sheets off of my bed and Aiden's bed, and I also cleaned the utility room, did 3 loads of laundry, and we got part of the closet done..........so most is done.....I will finish up the closet later today when I make the beds..........

No crochet for me yet............I was working on an Ami dragon for a Wish in a group and last night I put his "parts" together.........the body, the head, snout, two ears, two horns, two eyes, two eyelids, two legs, and two arms.........Whew!! LOL I want to get working on him some more today and get him finished.

I need to run to Walmart to buy a new umbrella for our patio table, the one we had was left out and open in the wind, and it broke.........this will be our third one that I get today, so hopefully that is the charm to help us keep this one closed and safe!! LOL

Well I am off to finish up the kitchen and get some crocheting done once I get back from walmart.

The three of us after AJ got home from school.....this was his last day! I love this. I just got Austin's report card today and he did very well! He brought up his band grade and I am so proud of him.

I did this doilies a couple of months ago, and forgot to take pictures of them.......you can really tell, but the design are bells inside the red part and the blue part

Its a mystery CAL in my Amigurumi Swaps & More group........Tiffany is hosting this for us.......I have the 3rd set of instructions, but have not worked them yet today........I am working on a Ami Dragon for a wish in Crochet Swap Buddies, I have it almost done, then will work a bit more on Grandma the ami I am doing for Margaret and my mom, my moms is being done in a C hook while Margaret's is being done in a G hook, and I realized I goofed on my moms, she is suppose to have pink shoes, but I gave her the brown shoes, never changing colors from when I was working the soles. Oh well, I am not going to redo it as I have the legs done and the body done on that one.

Busy Busy

AJ had a friend spend the night Friday and they were up late........I took the boys to lunch and then home again to help my mom who could not get back up from the porch swing........then she came with the boys and I to garage hunt......my dad came too............and we hit one and spent 30 dollars...........LOL I bought some sea shells, a new walker for my mom that works much better than the one she has........this one is like new too...........anyway off to another one, and another.............then the flea market, where I found a tall lighthouse, with a tea light candle...........it has beads for the "walls" and its so pretty, I took pictures of my finds, and will post later.

We also got stuck at the flea market, when my van would not start, the battery was dead, we thought the battery was dead, but found out today it was the altenator.

Today was super busy........not meant to be, but this morning, I took the boys and went to a water park for about an hour, with my neighbor and her grandkids, and there were some guys there that were drunk and kept falling all over the place..........we had decided to leave as storm clouds were coming in, and I was not comfortable.......I got sun burned just in less that an hour...........anyway sat on the front porch with my mom for awhile, and my dad took the boys with him to find out if my alternator was bad, which it is.........so we have to call some salvage yards tomorrow to find one, or might have to wait a week for a rebuilt kit to come in, brand new they are over 200 dollars, and I can't afford that right now. I made macaroni salad and got stuff ready for a bbq............then cleaned....I had a few loads of laundry to do, had to put clean sheets on 3 beds............and I am now just getting to sit down. Looking forward to resting the rest of the night.

AJ has 3 days left of school, then he is out for the summer. I sure hope this will not be a summer full of, "i'm bored, there is nothing to do," LOL

I have been working on an Amigurumi with wings, but didn't get a chance today......so will work on that tonight, I am so tired and hurt, that all I want to do is fall into my bed and sleep the whole night.

Anyway I am off to relax

This was taken today after I finished the face for Aiden's Pokemon Pichu....he loves this one too, and was super excited when I was done......I actually finished it yesterday, but did the mouth today.......he carried this and Squirtle all over today.

This is an Ami Guinea pig I made for an ami swap, and I went through a couple of patterns before giving up and doing this one...the other patterns I did had too many mistakes and just were not coming out right.

I did this Snoopy for a Cartoon Ami swap and I did not want to part with him.......I love the Charlie Brown cartoons, and this was just so cute.

Do you know of any men who crochet, have you been asked by a guy to crochet? Then share that with us........My son who is 11 will ask every so often, but I will ask him why he wants to learn......(I would like to know) and he tells me so he can crochet his pokemon characters faster than me, and design more patterns that I have not yet!! Can you believe my son there? LOL as if I don't have enough to do already! Now he wants me to teach him to crochet so he can spend his time doing it while I am cleaning? I DON'T THINK SO!! I would actually be jealous! LOL Kids nowadays just don't understand what being an adult is........anyway I am getting off subject here.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

This post will be nothing but good things......no complaints, or sob stories......I have had a very busy few days, and am looking forward to a much relaxed night. Today my boys took me to Botanical Gardens, which was very pretty, we had rain this morning, but luckily no more than a few sprinkles while we were out......above is my boys and me........aren't they handsome.

Aiden and I at the gardens..........he enjoyed it I think.....he didn't complain, and seemed to enjoy the bridges and the water scenery.........and playing Garden Bingo! LOL I Love this shot. It came out good.

This was a very huge Red wood tree, you can see the rings and find out what they mean....both boys thought this was really cool!!!

How pretty is this scenery?? this little streamed "streamed" it's way down a very pretty water fall and rocks..........Aiden really loved this, and there were a few times that I thought my rugrat would fall in! LOL

The boys got Mama and myself some really pretty flowers to plant, which I will show pictures of later this week.

I have a roast in the slow cooker, so I need to get the boys settled and ready for dinner.

Frustrated

I just had a rotten day Tuesday........AJ would not stop bugging me about stuff, and it was really driving me mad........He ended up being fine the rest of the night, but then it seemed to be Aiden's turn to drive me mad. LOL They finally got to sleep and I caught up with some online stuff. I just put some clean clothes away, got my bed made and have started on Grandma.........She is another crochet project I have to do for Margaret, she needs her in July, and I am also doing two of everything with this one as my mom wants a set, then another grandpa for my mom too.

I have found more pokemon patterns, that both boys are bugging me to make. UGH......I hope later today is better. The sun is coming out, maybe that will help everyone to settle down. LOL

I made pork chops in the slow cooker Tuesday with mushrooms, onions, mushroom soup, seasoning and potatoes, and it came out really good, everyone ate it all..........

How much more Rain?

This is AJ and Aiden my little pilots, When Aiden's dad was in town we went to the Flight Museum and they were "flying" around town. LOL

we went to the Art Museum and they had this glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling, they also had one on the floor which was the "ceiling" on the first floor, and you could actually walk over this on the second floor. It was gorgeous.

Well woke up to more rain.............I was so hoping we were done with the rain, but I get reminded from people that this is the season for it......well boo hooo..........who cares? LOL I am tired of the the rain, and when it's not raining, the ground is still wet and muddy, and the boys can only really play on the porch or the sidewalks, and that is no fun.

I am still trying to relax a bit from a very busy weekend. We did have fun, and seeing Aiden spend time with his dad was nice, I loved hearing Aiden call him daddy, and want to show him things and stuff...........of course his wife would not leave him alone and has recruited her 2 year old son to "question" daddy on everything she wants to know, so she coaches him in the background, about asking him this and that.........she is still insisting something is going on, and says that Thien spends more time with Aiden, or that he doesn't spend enough time with Mathias..........EXCUSE ME!!!????...........Mathias has had his daddy since the day he was born, he has him everyday, Aiden has only just recently had a handful of days with his daddy.........who the heck does this twit think she is.............fine be jealous of me you twit, I can understand that, but how insecure is this "thing" that she is jealous of Aiden? She flat out told Thien in the beginning that he was to have nothing to do with Aiden, not see him, or talk to us, and for awhile Thien did that......but he came to his senses and said he would not do that...........and now she is constantly trying to guilt him.....and using her son to do it..............I don't like this person.............I don't care how insecure her issues are...............I JUST DON'T CARE, Aiden has every right in the world to see his father, and how dare this twit try to take that away from MY SON. Her son got to go to Disney world and does not have to struggle to be able to go to fun places.........they have the money to do those things, I struggle everyday...............I don't get to take my kids to Disney world.......So she needs to seriously back off my son!!!

Anyway!!! LOL I am trying to catch up on bedding, had to wash my bedding again today, thanks to Aiden, who went pee pee on it...........potty training is going better.........but he still wears a diaper to bed............and it leaked during the night. He fell asleep laying on my bed, and I just didn't have the heart to move him until I was ready for bed. LOL then noticed the little mess waiting for me.

I am tired and hope to relax most of today and work on some crochet. .

Rain Rain Go AWAY!!!

I am so tired of this rain...........its been raining for over 2 weeks now..........and we are suppose to get rain throughout next week too, I am hoping the weather changes and we get some sun.......Anyway I did this Cinderella today......started her early this morning, and just had some time tonight to finish her......I think she can out cute but noticed I forgot to add her necklace and I don't like how I stuffed her neck.......she looks like she has a long neck............I might redo her with a lighter blue too, and not stuff her so much.

I finshed my living room afghan..........one of them anyway, I think it took me about a week.............I will make a pillow before making the second afghan.

I received this from Tiffany for the Amigurumi Food w/ faces swap, and these are so tiny and cute!!! the other stuff is for a Birthday swap, and I love them too.

Aiden's father is in town until Monday. We hung out at the house today and had dinner at Applebee's tonight, and now both boys are sleeping, and that is where I need to be. LOL

Update

Mr Aiden here with a Spiderman scooter that had belonged to AJ when AJ was small, we didn't realize we still had this, but apparently my father had put it away in the garage, and AJ found this this weekend........so Aiden was using it today, and had fun with it...........I took this photo this afternoon. Talk about warmer temps, we had to turn the air on, the temp inside was around 80 degrees, and outside its about 84...........it was hot in here.

I took this today outside too, I love how the sun shines down through the trees through all the leaves and you the shadows and stuff. We spent a lot of time outside...............Aiden playing on his scooter, and AJ was planting his flower that he got from school today.

Well I started Pokemon Lucario Sunday night, and worked on him for about an hour, then a bit more on Monday, and then put him aside last night to finish another strip to my living room afghan...........I have 7 more squares to do to finish one.........but anyway I am working on Lucario tonight and this was him earlier.......I have his arms done too now. Now that "horn" in the middle of his chest is more pointy than the original one was...........the original one looked more like a boob. LOL

We had a great Easter, I didn't take a ton of pictures like I usually do, because how many pictures do you really need? I usually end up taking too many, and I didn't want to do that this holiday.....here are the boys with their baskets, we made them......and they both loved them of course. We had to have the Easter Egg hunt inside because it rained all day.....I mean it never stopped. My father wanted to go for breakfast, but I wanted to stay home to get some stuff done and set up for dinner. So he took them in my van since his heat didn't work, well I had been in the laundry room cleaning up and didn't hear my phone ringing until I got closer to the front of the house, my dad called to say some guy hit them..........someone ran into the back of them.........the other guy told the police it was his fault as he was not looking in front of him.........anyway my van had a few scratches on the bumper but no damage, and the other cars whole front end was smashed in. I am just glad the boys and my father were not hurt and then I was happy the van was ok. LOL Anyway we had a great dinner and I was happy to get some rest later that night.

I did this pencil holder for Aiden last night and he likes it, I didn't put a button on it though. He has been walking around carrying this. LOL

I tested this really cute cow for Ivory, click her name to go to her blog. This pattern is called Strawberry the Sleepy cow. You can see its tail in the photo, some picture taking on my part. LOL

This toilet paper cover was done for Margaret, she had one listed for a wish in a group we are in. this went out today with her Grandpa........Aiden and I had to go to the Box store to find a box for him........and as someone in another group put it, he will have crik in his neck since its bent a bit to fit him in. LOL Aiden and I also had lunch together, and then relaxed the rest of the day.

I have had a headache since some time during the night, and I am getting dizzy, I am hoping its just stress and I am not getting sick.

WOOHOOOO THE OLD MAN IS DONE

Well some of you have been keeping tabs on Grandpa's progress.........so he is finally finished!!! I started him on the 20th of last month, and took my time with him, he was due to be mailed until the end of this month........and I wanted to work on other projects in between working on him............but he is finally done, and I could not be happier. The pattern called for using yarn in french knots for his eye brows and hair, but I used stuffing......I thought this looked more realistic!!

I am doing good, just been tired, My dad was sick today, had what AJ had not too long ago, and I am hoping Aiden doesn't get sick or me...........short update there, will have a longer one soon.

Woohoo Pokemon Charizard is done!!!

OMG!! I finished AJ's Pokemon Charizard tonight....I am soooo happy to have him done........I took my time with him, so many pieces to him....lets see let me count 38 pieces to crochet and put together!! LOL I have to say this lady did an awesome job designing him, as she does with all her patterns, if you want to check her work out She is Bizzy Crochet Just click the name to find her. Well here is Grandpas body....he is still headless, I have his head done, but no facial features yet.........I had to redo his belt loops as I had originally done them in the wrong color. LOL

It was a very cloudy day today, and they said rain......but its actually snowing right now.........will try to post an update this weekend.

AJ and his team mate, Brett. I love the uniforms this year. Usually he got stuck with drab colors, like grey and black, but this year they got a really cool green.

Just before Aiden and I left to go to "Bro's" soccer game, Saturday, we spiked his hair.......he loved it.

LOL AJ and I wearing each other's glasses............neither of us could see a thing through them.

I am very tired........I need to get to sleep........I am just not feeling well, so its hard to fall asleep. I have a headache and feel like I have a stick stuck in my throat going across it, and my ribs hurt.......I think its just bad heartburn though, but it sure is making me feel odd.......I also might be coming down with something, hope not though. I think its just a combination of stress over the past few days......I don't really want to go into it........but today was better. I got some laundry done, both boys were good today............AJ usually is really helpful when he knows I am upset or sad..........he will really help out, and be there for me.

Yesterday was pretty warm...........in the 70s, but very windy..........AJ had a soccer game, and all the boys got dirt in their eyes, the ball kept blowing around........it was just awful out there. His team played well considering.

I have two strips done for my living room afghans..........each afghan will be 35 squares, 5 across and 7 down.............I had drawn out how I wanted the squares, but I was doing them, and decided I didn't like how it was turning out......so decided on just doing one row going down in one pattern, and then the second row another pattern going down..........so I had to adjust the squares I had already done.........time consuming to have to do that, but its done, and I have the first two strips for one.........I also decided since changing them, that I will do one at a time..........they will both be done using the same squares, but in a different order for each. Once I got the two strips done, I decided to work on the Alien and little ship.....you can find the pattern by clicking the name I am going to be making 3 of these..........one for Aiden, one for me, and one for a friend of mine. Aiden wanted me to finish tonight, but I was too tired, and not feeling well, so I stopped at the two aliens...........I took pictures of my crochet today, but my phone is not sending pictures at the moment. I will try again and post tomorrow.

Well I had a rough day........I got up and did nothing, but spend some time with Aiden, then after lunch, I had told my father that he needed to help me get the washer and dryer pulled out, so I could clean and vacuum up all the dust bunnies and find out if the hoses were kinked in the washer as it hasn't been working right.....dryer has not been drying well either.........so he did that and we found a ton of junk clogging the hose to the washer and in the little screened connection.........so we got that cleaned out and I told him to help me vacuum the hold that the dryer hose goes into to vent outside..........well omg...............it was clogged big time, so he went outside and it was clogged there, but nothing on the ground, so down to the basement we went, took the wall off to the crawl space under the dryer and man........was it filthy........the pipe or whatever that the dryer vented down into and then outside was not connected anymore............so the dryer had vented down in the crawl space, it was eery looking with all that dryer lint, I mean it was all over everything, the cords, the floor, gross!!! so he pulls out the pipes to clean and put back together, then the fun part of getting all the dryer lint swept and wiped up and out of there, a whole 30 gallon trash bag full......lord knows how long that was like that, I am just glad we decided to do this now.............its done, and hopefully no more problems with that. I had to sweep up the kitchen and dining room as the boys and my dad kept tracking that stuff everywhere...........I was so happy to get into the shower!!

AJ got to play with Chris too a bit today, and they kept trying to say they were going to help clean down there, but I knew they just wanted to play.

AJ is done with math testing at school......he said that nothing really stumped him but a couple of questions, so hopefully he did well on them. May is the last month of school, I can't believe how fast this school year has gone.......

I started on my squares for the living room afghans............will do them at the same time, so one square done for the couch and one square done for the love seat.....wooohoo huh? LOL I will also start an ami for Aiden tonight too. I think I will start on the little space ship with alien, I have to admit this is way too cute for any sci-fi fan, so I will be making one for me..........and a few other people.

My chest is hurting tonight, so I am going to go relax and work on some squares, I want to get at least one strip done for both.

Well I am really tired and sore tonight.............So far this week has started well, just trying to stay caught up with everything around the house......The washer is not wanting to work right, so I need my father to pull that out tomorrow and see if any lines are kinked up. so doing wash is taking a bit longer than I want it to. Today I cleaned the living room, a full clean, meaning moving all the furniture to vacuum, clean base boards.........up and down on the ladder cleaning shelves up high, sweeping the cob webs for ceiling.....I have to say I slacked off in the cob web department, I hate doing that, and we have those stupid popcorn ceilings.....but luckily I only say one, but there was dust bunnies around the fan......so I had all those little spikes from the ceiling attacking me. After that I cleaned the boys room, did all the dusting, they pretty much picked up the toys and stuff, but I also had to clean the closet, move toy boxes around, and also managed to FINALLY organize my yarn totes.......I am sure they will get messed up again.

AJ went to dinner and a magic show with Communities in School last night and had a lot of fun with that..........Did some shopping, and I think with all the errrands I had to run yesterday and taking AJ to and from school, and picking him up later after the show........I was in and out of the van 14 times...........so no wonder my knees hurt last night.........

I managed to get the details of my matching Dragonfly afghan done, I am doing two for the living room, one for the love seat and one for the couch, will do the squares in a Dark Sage, and a light sage for the pillows..........I saw some pillow at Wal-mart that I wanted that would match perfectly in the living room, but for two pillows each for love seat and couch, would have cost me over 70 dollars!!! Didn't want to pay that much for 4 pillows, so will make them......I already have two pillow forms, I have the yarn, and once I buy the other two pillow forms.........I will have only had to pay out less than 8 dollars..........I think I will try to wish for the pillows in a group though.........that would help out too. So anyway I am starting on my first square......I will be using the squares that I designed.......which are still being tested.

I also got some patterns this past week and some more today, so want to get started on a few things for Aiden.........I have a little alien and his ship to make, and a crayon holder for Aiden, finish AJs Pokemon Charizard..............and swaps!! Busy Busy

Aiden's father will be coming out sometime in May............but he wants to bring his other son, Mathias to see Aiden, since they are brothers........I don't like using the term "half" brothers.........and I agree, but of course this means his wife will have to come too......which would normally not bother me, but since this woman has been so jealous of me and Aiden, I am not too comfortable with it............but I do see the need for her to come.......Mathias needs his mommy too........just as Aiden does me..........I can't get over the things she has said about Aiden, and how she from day one, wanted Thien to have nothing to do with his son, Aiden...........she was jealous of Aiden too...............I can see her not liking me, and that is fine, she can say all she wants about me, but NOT MY SON!! you don't take your anger or frustration nor your jealousy out on an innocent kid...........so if she does come, I hope that she will not mouth off to me, I don't think I will be able to control myself.....LOL............but I certainly don't want her to have an attitude towards Aiden.......We will see though.

I found a site that offers drop down menus, so it takes up less room, of course I only found one that offers 10 links, but still its a lot easier, when I want to change the background of blogger, I don't have to add all those links in, just re copy the code that I have saved.

Well off to watch Dog the bounty hunter and hope my pain pills take effect soon.
